Shure MX202B/C Microflex Black Cardioid Overhead Condenser Microphone is a professional hanging microphone designed for choirs, houses of worship, theaters, schools, auditoriums, ensembles and installed-sound applications.

The MX202B/C features a cardioid electret condenser capsule, helping focus pickup toward the performance area while reducing unwanted sound from behind the microphone. Its compact overhead design allows discreet placement above choirs, stages and presentation areas while maintaining clear, natural speech and music reproduction.

This model includes a 4-inch flexible gooseneck, an in-line preamplifier, a 30-foot / 9.1 m cable, and a stand adapter for flexible installation. The long cable makes it especially useful for ceiling-mounted, suspended or stage applications where the microphone needs to reach a mixer, wall plate or professional AV system.

The MX202B/C provides a 50 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response, approximately 180-ohm actual output impedance, and operates from 11–52V DC phantom power. Shure’s Microflex design is intended for professional installed-sound applications requiring compact size and reliable condenser performance.
