Shure MX396/C-DUAL Microflex Dual-Element Boundary Conference Microphone is a professional installed-sound microphone designed for conference rooms, boardrooms, meeting tables, corporate AV systems and other commercial audio installations. The MX396/C-DUAL combines two cardioid condenser microphone elements in one compact boundary microphone, providing broad table coverage while reducing the number of separate microphones required in a room.

The MX396/C-DUAL uses a 0°/180° dual-element configuration, making it suitable for end-of-table, cross-table and other multi-participant conference applications. Each microphone element provides an individual audio output, allowing independent routing and processing through compatible mixers, DSP systems and professional conferencing equipment.

Designed for permanent AV installations, the MX396/C-DUAL includes a programmable mute switch, bi-color red/green status indicator, and logic input/output for remote mute and LED control. Shure’s CommShield RF filtering technology helps reduce interference from mobile and wireless devices in modern conference-room environments.

The microphone features an electret condenser design with a frequency response of approximately 50 Hz to 17 kHz, active balanced output, approximately 170-ohm output impedance, and maximum SPL of approximately 122 dB. The MX396/C-DUAL requires 48–52V DC phantom power and is intended for professional installed-audio applications.
