Cisco AIR-PWRINJ6= 30W Gigabit PoE+ Power Injector is a professional single-port midspan injector designed to provide power and Ethernet connectivity to compatible Cisco Aironet and Catalyst wireless access points when a PoE-capable switch is not available.
The AIR-PWRINJ6= supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE, delivering up to 30 watts of power to compatible access points. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, making it suitable for enterprise wireless deployments that do not require multigigabit throughput. Cisco
Cisco specifies 55V DC PoE output, 100–240VAC input, 0.8A input current, and 50–60Hz operation. The injector uses a standard IEC C14 AC inlet and two shielded RJ-45 ports: one for Data In and one for Data + Power Out. Cisco
Current Cisco wireless ordering documentation still lists AIR-PWRINJ6= as an available 802.3at power option for several Catalyst access points, including models in the 9100 family. Cisco also notes that newer higher-power or mGig APs may require a newer injector such as CW-INJ-8 or AIR-PWRINJ7 depending on the AP’s power and bandwidth requirements.
