Shure MX405LP/C Microflex 5-Inch Cardioid Gooseneck Conference Microphone is a professional modular condenser microphone designed for conference rooms, boardrooms, podiums, lecterns, classrooms and installed AV systems.
The MX405LP/C features a compact 5-inch / 12.7 cm flexible gooseneck and a cardioid pickup pattern, providing focused speech capture while helping reduce unwanted sound from behind the microphone. Its short, low-profile design makes it particularly suitable for conference tables and installations where minimal visual obstruction is important.
A logic-controlled bi-color status indicator provides clear microphone status indication for professional conferencing environments. The MX405LP/C is designed for use with compatible Shure Microflex bases and preamps, including the MX400SMP surface-mount preamp and compatible desktop/wireless bases.
The microphone provides a 50 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response, approximately 18 mV/Pa sensitivity, and professional phantom-powered operation. Shure’s RF-resistant design helps reduce interference from nearby mobile phones and wireless devices.
Important: this MX405LP/C version does not include the surface-mount preamplifier. It is intended as a replacement microphone module or for installations where a compatible Shure preamp/base is already available.
