Shure MX202B/N Microflex Overhead Microphone Housing with In-Line Preamp is a professional hanging microphone system designed for choir, theater, classroom, house of worship and installed-sound applications. This MX202B/N version does not include a microphone cartridge, allowing the installer to select a compatible Shure cartridge based on the required pickup pattern.
The MX202B/N features a compact black housing, flexible 4-inch gooseneck, and approximately 30 ft / 9.1 m cable, providing flexible overhead positioning above choirs, ensembles, stages and presentation areas. It includes the in-line preamplifier and stand-mount adapter for professional installation.
This model is designed for use with interchangeable Shure Microflex cartridges, allowing cardioid, supercardioid or other compatible pickup configurations depending on the cartridge selected. Shure specifies 11–52V DC phantom power for the MX202 series.
The black finish and slim overhead design help keep the microphone visually discreet in churches, auditoriums, schools, theaters and commercial AV installations.
