Shure MX202BP/C Microflex Cardioid Overhead Condenser Microphone with Plate-Mounted Preamplifier is a professional hanging microphone system designed for choirs, houses of worship, theaters, schools, auditoriums, ensembles and commercial installed-sound applications.

The MX202BP/C features a cardioid condenser capsule that focuses pickup toward the desired performance area while helping reduce unwanted sound from behind the microphone. Its compact overhead design and flexible gooseneck make it ideal for discreet permanent installations above choirs, stages, lecterns and presentation areas.

This BP version includes a plate-mounted preamplifier, making it especially suitable for ceiling, wall or custom architectural installations where a flush or fixed preamp mounting solution is preferred. The microphone includes an attached 30-foot / 9.1 m cable and plate-mounting hardware. B&H currently lists this exact configuration with a plate-mounted preamp, 30 ft cable and plate mounting hardware.

The MX202BP/C provides a 50 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response, approximately 124 dB maximum SPL, balanced professional output and 11–52V phantom power operation.
