Shure CVO-W/C Centraverse White Cardioid Overhead Condenser Microphone is a professional hanging microphone designed for choirs, instrumental ensembles, houses of worship, theaters, schools and installed sound applications requiring discreet overhead pickup.
The CVO-W/C features a cardioid electret condenser capsule that focuses pickup toward the performance area while helping reduce unwanted sound from the rear. Its low-profile white finish allows it to blend more naturally into ceilings, churches, auditoriums and performance spaces where visual appearance is important.
An integrated wire aiming hanger allows the microphone angle and position to be adjusted for optimal coverage above choirs, ensembles and stage areas. The microphone includes an attached 25 ft / 7.6 m cable with 3-pin XLR output, simplifying permanent overhead installation.
The CVO-W/C provides a 70 Hz to 16 kHz frequency response, approximately 180-ohm output impedance, and maximum SPL of approximately 120 dB. It operates on professional 11–52V DC phantom power and incorporates Shure CommShield technology to help reduce RF interference from smartphones and nearby wireless devices.
