Shure MX1BP Microflex Battery / Phantom Powered Preamplifier is a professional microphone preamp designed for compatible Shure Microflex and other condenser microphones using a 4-pin miniature connection. It allows compatible microphones to be used in systems where standard phantom power may not be available, while also supporting normal phantom-powered operation.

The MX1BP features a 4-pin mini microphone input and an attached cable terminated with a 3-pin male XLR output, making it suitable for connection to professional mixers, PA systems and other balanced microphone inputs. Shure specifies an approximately 12 ft / 3.7 m attached output cable.

Power can be supplied by a standard 9V battery or by compatible phantom power. When phantom power is present, the MX1BP can automatically operate from phantom power while keeping the battery available as backup. A front-panel Mute/On switch allows the microphone signal to be muted without powering down the preamplifier, while the Power LED provides clear operating-status indication.

The integrated belt clip makes the MX1BP useful with compatible lavalier, headset and other Microflex microphones in mobile or installed applications. An internal selectable low-cut filter can also be configured to help reduce low-frequency noise.
